1. 5 Easy Microwave Desserts
Do these desserts really take just five minutes to make? Yes, yes they do.
Okay, almost all of them. The peanut brittle does take an hour to cool (unless you want to munch on the equivalent of molten lava). But the rest should be quick! And these 5 easy microwavable desserts aren’t only ones of their kind out there. Just google “cookie in a mug” and see what you come up with—or “pie in a mug”!

2. Greek Yogurt Veggie Dip by Tasty
A divine Greek Yogurt dip you can keep cold overnight and pack in the kids’ lunches (if there’s any leftover, which we doubt).
Ingredients
- 16 oz Greek yogurt
- 3 Tbsp. dried parsley
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp pepper
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 Tbsp. green onions
Healthy, flavorful, fun to eat, we’d give this recipe five stars (if they wanted our opinion). You can also mix Lipton’s dry onion soup mix with sour cream for a simple alternative. Tasty also has some fantastic recipes for three different kinds of hummus!
3. Waffle S’mores by Food Steez
Pretty much exactly what they sound like: FHE-treat nirvana.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 ¾ cups milk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- ½ cup chocolate chips
- 4 graham crackers (smashed)
- ½ cup marshmallows
The great thing about these s’mores waffles is that you can use different kinds of chocolate. Ever tried a s’more with a square of Hershey’s cookies and cream bar? We highly recommend it.
4. Avocado Fries by Tasty
We’d heard of sweet potato fries and zucchini fries, but never avocado fries. Cool, huh?
https://youtu.be/orLNbgh2pW4
Ingredients
- 3 avocados (slightly firm)
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste, or substitute with garlic powder)
- Pepper
(In case you’re not already an avocado fan) avocados are great for more than just avocado french fries. Put them in a bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich (BLT) and enjoy.
5. Grilled Cheese Roll-Ups by 12 Tomatoes
A new twist on a delicious classic. We guarantee your kids will love these!
Ingredients
- 6 slices bread
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 6 slices cheddar or American cheese
This one wins for having the smallest list of ingredients. I’d love to try this recipe for grilled cheese roll-ups with ham, chicken, or even turkey, make some “fancy” sandwich rollups and add dijon and mayo.
6. Breakfast Granola Cups by Proper Tasty
Don’t let the word “breakfast” throw you off; they make for a delicious evening snack, too.

½ cup rolled oats
1 tsp cinnamon
Pinch of salt

7. BBQ Chicken Pinwheels by Tasty
Slice ’em snack-sized, or eat ’em for dinner!
Ingredients
- 1 refrigerated pizza crust
- ½ cup BBQ sauce
- 1 ½ cups shredded rotisserie chicken
- ½ red onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- ¼ cup parsley, chopped
Now that BBQ chicken pinwheels are out there, why not try the same basic recipe with a few yummy alternatives? You can make pepperoni pizza pinwheels, for example, or Hawaiian (that’d be cool).
8. Cauliflower Fritters by Tasty
Is there even a food out there that isn’t improved by the word “fritter?”
Ingredients
- 3 cups of cauliflower
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ cup of chopped onions
- ¼ cup fo chopped parsley
- ½ cup of wheat flour
- ⅓ cup of grated parmesan
- 1 egg
- Additional wheat flour for coating
- Oil for frying
Although cauliflower is really good, there are other veggies you can use in place of the cauliflower. Google “pumpkin fritters” for a sweet alternative. And then, of course, there’s always tuna. MyRecipies.com has a great recipe for tuna patties.
9. Eggs Benedict Cups by Tasty
Eggcellent, eggsquisit, eggstacy: call them what you will.
Ingredients

- 6 eggs
- 3 egg yolks
- ½ tsp white vinegar
- ½ cup melted butter
- 4 Tbsp. lemon juice
- A pinch of salt
- A pinch of black pepper

If you’re not a fan of runny yolks in your eggs Benedict cups, never fear! Just cook the eggs for a little longer. To simplify the dish, just fry an egg, put a slice of ham over the top, flip it over and let the ham cook, then put the whole thing on an English muffin. Bahm. Breakfast.

13. Spinach and Artichoke Cups by Tasty
Why does everything look that much more delicious in the shape of a cupcake?

- ½ cup romano
- ½ cup parmesan
- 14 oz can artichoke hearts, quartered
- ¼ cup chopped bacon
- ¼ cup sour cream
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp dried basil
Spinach and artichoke cups are one thing, but have you ever tried spinach and artichoke dip? Slice up some french bread, place the slices on a cookie sheet, and brush the bread with olive oil. Then broil the slices in the oven for a minute or two (seriously, that’s it) and dip away!
14. Cinnamon Sugar Cheesecake Bars by Tasty
Who doesn’t love creamy, soft, cinnamon-sugar-covered goodness?
Ingredients
- 2 tubes crescent dough
- 16 oz cream cheese

It’s true, that’s all the ingredients you need for these junior pizzas. Store-bought pizzas will also do just fine if you want to skip the dough-making step. We wonder what these look like if you took a cookie cutter to them and made pizza bites . . .
