Mormon Contestant on ‘America’s Got Talent’ Moves Forward

LDS Living reported today that Josh Wright, the LDS pianist, performed on last night’s “America’s Got Talent” and got the go-ahead from each of the judges.

Wright has already produced five of his own albums and has some impressive youtube videos showcasing his unique take on piano performance. There are videos of him playing two grand pianos and another one of him playing a piano exploding with paint. He’s topped the Billboard charts with his 2011 self-titled album and his more recent albums feature modern twists on classics with current pop hits.

Howie Mendel called him, “Fantastic!” and Howard Stern called him a “pyro-Liberace” and Wright received a very positive response from the audience.
