Mormon Floats in a 1,200 lb Pumpkin Down the Colorado River
Jason Turner and Kyle Fox, both members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, teamed up with a few others to welcome back the fall season this year.
Just outside of Moab, Utah, this group—which consisted of a few giant pumpkin growers—decided to hollow out the inside of a 1,200 pound pumpkin and float it down the Colorado River, but not before putting a man inside of it. With Turner behind the camera and Fox inside the giant gourd, the journey down the Colorado River began.
Fox and his enormous pumpkin encountered class three rapids and even resulted in his losing the pumpkin toward the end of the video. Fox is a member of Utah Giant Pumpkin Growers on Facebook—a group for those who grow giant pumpkins, or would like to learn how.
