Returned Missionaries in College Basketball This Season
The following article was written by Trent Toone for Deseret News.
With March Madness looming, DeseretNews.com has compiled a list of returned LDS missionaries who played college basketball this season.
This list, which is not all-inclusive, comprises players from Division I schools.
The list includes 10 players from Brigham Young University, seven from Utah Valley University and six from Utah State University. There are three returned missionaries playing at the University of Alaska Anchorage and two each at the University of Utah, Weber State University and Southern Utah University. Kansas, Harvard, Stanford, UC Riverside, UC Davis, Loyola Marymount, Colgate, North Carolina and the University of Nevada Las Vegas each have one.
If you know of a returned missionary who is playing college basketball at a Division I school that we have missed, please send an email to ttoone@deseretnews.com with the name of the player, the team and the mission.
