Elder Cook Goes Overseas, Asks for Global Effort to Protect Religious Freedom
Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles spoke at the University of Notre Dame Australia yesterday, asking those in attendance to join in the protection and strengthening of religious freedom.
Cook addressed students and faculty at the private Catholic university stating that all religions must work together and help each other. He says,

Mormon Newsroom reports that Professor Michael Quinlan, dean of the School of Law Sydney, wrote in a news release “Religious liberty is one of the most pressing issues facing the world today,” and that this was the first time the school’s Annual Religious Liberty Lecture would be given by a true expert from overseas.
Cook focused some of his remarks on the Magna Carta, which many will celebrate on June 15, its 800th anniversary of completion. Watch Cook’s full address in the video posted above.
