His Grace: From Gang Member to ‘Good Man’
The Mormon Channel recently released a new episode in the “His Grace” series, which features a former gang member’s journey of coming unto Christ, shown above.
Bubba Palamore started living the “gang life” at nine years old. Palamore was accustomed to gang culture at a young age, because his father was murdered as a result of gang membership when Palamore was three years old. His stepdad was also a gang member and became an abusive influence in Palamore’s life.
The rough lifestyle and abuse filled Palamore’s life with drugs, bullying, alcohol and suicidal thoughts.
Eventually, Palamore ran away from home and was invited to live with a Mormon family. After spending a good amount of time with this family, he asked, “What is it that makes you guys so loving and different?”
Their response: “Jesus Christ.”
Palamore’s journey to come unto Christ created the desire to become a “good man in front of and behind closed doors.”
