LDS Church Creates New Mission, Effective July 2015
Upon the approval of the First Presidency, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will create a new mission.
The Central Eurasian Mission for the Church will be effective July 1, 2015. The existing Bulgaria Sofia and Russia Novosibirsk missions will split to create the new mission, according to Deseret News.
The Central Eurasian Mission will cover six different countries (Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan), with the mission president and his wife residing in Turkey.
