LDS Church Sees Success From #ASaviorIsBorn, Prepares for Easter Intiative
After the Church’s Christmas video initiative reached millions, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is preparing for its easter campaign.
LDS.org reports that the Church will collaborate with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on social media for the new campaign, inspired by the “Hallelujah’s Chorus” from Handel’s Messiah.
The Easter initiative will focus on the Atonement and Resurrection of Jesus Christ as 18- to 34-year-olds testify of His importance in our lives. The video will be available in 29 different languages.
The Church encourages Latter-day Saints to watch and share the video on social media with their own testimony, just as with previous initiatives. The most recent Christmas video, “A Savior is Born” reached 54.5 million people world-wide through shares on social media, viewings in visitors center’s, and the public displays in New York’s Times Square. The Church’s Christmas video also made Advertising Age’s top 10 holiday videos from the 2015 season, with 17 million views for their English video.
Keep an eye out for the Church’s Easter campaign, which will be released in March.
