LDS Members Provide Move-In Kits to the Formerly Homeless in Florida
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helped provide 240 move-in kits for formerly homeless people who have recently found themselves with a roof over their heads.
As part of the Make It a Home, a federal and Orange County, Florida, program, individuals who used to live on the streets are now finding that they have a home of their own.
To make the moving in process even sweeter, the Church joined forces with Impact Homelessness and the Faith Committee of the Central Florida Commission on Homelessness, to deliver some living essentials. WFTV.com reports that these move-in kits provide individuals with hygiene products, detergent, food and 40 rolls of toilet paper.
Rhonda Allard received a home last month, and the help she has received has finally made her hopeful again. She told WFTV,

All of the kits were assembled at the Bishop’s Storehouse by volunteers.
