Members in Trujillo Peru Anxiously Await New Temple
The Trujillo Peru Temple is set to be dedicated June 21, 2015 and the temple will accommodate 90,000 eager members.
LDS members in Trujillo have worked hard over the past year in preparation for the temple. They have been researching and gathering names from family histories and other resources in order to bring the names to the temple.
“We are so enthused for the temple to open,” William Rabanal, Trujillo Peru Central Stake President, told LDS.org. “It will be a great day.”
The Church has a rich heritage in Peru and the membership continues to grow and flourish. The LDS Church was introduced in Peru in 1956, and the first stake was formed in Peru in 1970.
The public open house of the temple will start May 8 and end on May 30 2015.
