Millennials, Marriage
Over the last century, society watched as marriage transitioned from necessary economic agreement, to optional quest for true love. Combine this new take on nuptials with a statistically low rate of trust for other people and a pervasive view of “hook-up culture” as the new norm — it’s no wonder Millennial marriage is trending later, less, and none.
However, according Brigham Young University researchers, Millennials still value marriage; they just have no definite plans to take part in it.
