0:06 – Church Stays with BSA
After much speculation from bloggers and media outlets, the Church has decided to stay with Boy Scouts of America, following the BSA’s resolution to lift the ban on gay leaders. The Church also announced that they will continue reevaluating program options that better meet the needs of young men globally.
0:25 – Indianapolis Temple Dedication
President Eyring dedicated the first temple for members of the Church living in Indiana in the city of Carmel, a suburb of Indianapolis. The temple will serve around 30,000 members and is the 148th temple in operation.
0:40 – “12 Steps to Change” Addiction Recovery Series
During the first 12 days of September, the Mormon Channel is releasing a series of videos that show members of the Church who have overcome addictions through the Church’s 12 step program. The stories are raw and show how this program and the atonement has helped them to heal.
0:56 – Pre and Post Missionary Rap Video
And one returned missionary is sharing his experience of serving for two years with a rap he filmed before and after his mission.
