Mormon Minute: Weekly News Recap for December 8, 2015
The Mormon Minute recaps news that’s happening in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This week, we cover: the First Presidency Christmas Devotional, the groundbreaking of the Lisbon, Portugal temple, and the ’12 days of social’ campaign.
0:07 – First Presidency Devotional
On Sunday the First Presidency held their annual Christmas devotional to ring in the holiday season. Elder Clayton, Sister Burton, Elder Bednar, and President Uchtdorf each shared Christmas memories and their thoughts on the Savior’s birth. President Uchtdorf said,

0:37 – Lisbon Temple Groundbreaking
Church leaders broke ground for the Lisbon Portugal temple, which is the first temple for the country. There are 42,000 members in Portugal, so the groundbreaking was especially exciting for the many faithful Latter-day saints living there.
0:51 – 12 Days of Social Christmas Campaign
And influential LDS Youtubers are helping spread the message of the Church’s “A Savior is Born” campaign by participating in their own 12 days of sharing. Alex Boye’, Studio C, and Lexi Walker, are a few of the Youtubers posting videos that share their love for the Savior.
