Mormon Minute: Weekly News Recap for March 18, 2016

The Mormon Minute recaps news that’s happening in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This week, we cover: the Church’s “Follow Him” Easter campaign, a Book of Mormon coloring book for children, and a photo essay that’s sure to make you tear up.

0:06 – Follow Him Campaign

This year’s Easter initiative, “Follow Him,” was launched in 29 languages on Sunday. Mormon Newsroom expects the accompanying video to reach tens of millions of people. An animated video was also released with the campaign, as well as the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s Hallelujah virtual chorus. Make sure to use #Hallelujah when sharing videos from the campaign.

0:29 – Book of Mormon Coloring Book

The Church published their first coloring book for children on stories from The Book of Mormon. The publishers will release 9 additional languages of the book by the end of March with plans to translate the coloring book into all languages that The Book of Mormon is currently translated in. You can buy the book at Deseret Book, at a distribution center, or print off a free PDF of the book online.

0:51 – Growing Old with You Photo Series

And an LDS photographer waited outside a temple and then asked couples if she could photograph and interview them about their love story. The result is a series called “To grow old with you” that showcases Mormon couples with years of marriage experience under their belts and beautiful photos to go with their stories.
