New Mormon Message about Suicide Prevention
Last night, the Mormon Channel released a new video titled, “Sitting on the Bench: Thoughts on Suicide Prevention.” The video centers around a talk given by Elder M. Russell Ballard in 1987 that encourages members not to judge others that may be struggling, but to but instead reach out with love and support.
Seth Adam Smith, the well-known Mormon blogger also shares his near-death experience with suicide, and how his brother’s willingness to reach out and help him during a very dark time, saved his life.
